Hiking among the oldest living things on Earth is more than a humbling experience. Sounds corny, but the trek is simply breathtaking. From Yosemite National Park’s south entrance, we hiked about two miles up a road that had been closed by winter snows. The beauty of Yosemite in the winter is unparalleled. Summertime crowds have thinned, the air is cool and crisp. Really there is no better time to go to this gorgeous place. Huge trees mark your arrival into Mariposa Grove. Take a leisurely stroll and soak it all in. Or, in the summer, take a guided tour on the tram. Enjoy! Outdoor: Arizona | Outdoor: California | Outdoor: USA | Submit It |
