I was recruited by The Grubb Co. shortly after moving to Piedmont in 2003. After almost two decades of living in San Francisco, the need for strong public education coupled with the desire to find community (and reclaim summer) created the catalyst for my family’s migration to the East Bay. While it had been my privilege to stay at home and raise the kids in the early years, two growing sons, an under-funded college plan, and a “significant” birthday inspired me to expand my job horizons. (Motherhood is wonderful, but the pay falls short!)
My career path which had encompassed everything from business owner, to circus performer, to professional dancer, to landscape gardener, to sales representative, to fitness trainer, to online columnist, to serial renovator - provided the perfect backdrop for real estate – a career that demands attention to detail, design, negotiation, and public relations. Not so surprisingly, it also requires some quick dance steps now and then.
Having spent more than a decade buying, renovating and selling homes in San Francisco - and a significantly longer stint as the daughter of a real estate broker in Sacramento - the profession of “Realtor” has proven to be the perfect fit. Returning to my roots and having traveled the long way around, I work from a very personal perspective and truly love the process of home ownership – the definitive American Dream.
Oh, and once in awhile, I still dance . . .
